I’m a senior studying visual communication with a minor in studio art. I love illustrating and designing for Thread, so this position has been such a great opportunity. The hands-on experience I am getting in publication design along with the work I am producing for my portfolio are huge benefits of being a part of this organization.

Not only am I growing as a designer, I’m also learning the skills necessary to collaborate with other teams that are managing photography, editorial, web editing and more. This has taught me the importance of good leadership and communication. I have only been involved with Thread for a short time, yet it has revealed me more about what it means to be a designer than most of my classes.
