Hi all! I’m Alexis Ky, a BSN nursing student and also the Makeup Director of Thread. I have been with Thread for four years now and I could never have imagined everything that this magazine has given me. I started as a timid freshman who was randomly asked by an existing member to help with makeup, barely having done makeup on other people, and now I’m the first Makeup Director!

Thread has allowed me to express my creative outlet and help me build my leadership skills in more ways than I could say. Being with this magazine is more than about fashion, it’s about creating art and making life long relationships.
