Hey there! I’m Sullivan, and I am a senior majoring in Fine Arts: Painting & Drawing! I first encountered Thread on Instagram through the Livin’ in Leather issue, and continued to admire from afar. Upon learning that Thread was seeking illustration co-directors, I knew I wanted to do my best to contribute to its aesthetic excellence. Although I am joining the effort on my final semester, I am so excited to be a part of the Thread creative team!

Outside of Thread, I create visual work dedicated to my roots here in Appalachia. I found my footing in the realm of publication through the Appalachian Studies Association, having the opportunity to publish my paintings and drawings alongside literary work by fellow Appalachian creatives. Producing visual work that compliments and enhances paired writing is a passion of mine, and as ‘just another redneck,’ I am so lucky to be doing just that at Thread!
