Every year, designer brands gather in New York City to debut their seasonal looks. The most recognizable names and faces in fashion walk the runway, lined with spectators and photographers. Not only is it the prime opportunity for several large brands to debut their clothing in a competitive market, but it’s also an opportunity for celebrities and entertainers alike to sport beautiful designer clothing.
On Feb. 12, Michael Kors, a pillar of the New York fashion community, celebrated its 45th anniversary on the runway, reigning in a regal show for Fall/Winter 2026. Models walked in textured dark gray and black buttoned coats, many with fur-hooded collars, all combined with slicked back hair and a dazzling expression. Leather gloves, furred accents, and covered necks spanned the red carpet. A notable accessory added to the show was feathered bags and thickly rimmed black glasses, perfectly silhouetting the dignified collection.
Tory Burch graced the runway with her Fall 2026 looks, with popular models like Alex Consani and Emily Ratajkowski walking to the colors of soft yellow, olive green, and tangerine orange. Wool sweaters and lined jackets complemented nicely with the show's female boho energy, combined with strikingly detailed leather and wooden jewelry. Even when creating for the same season, designers go completely different ways, both in their clothing and production value. Other popular companies like Coach walked their fall collection, encapsulating 1940s tailoring on 1970s sports wear, leaning into current trends on social media.
The always popular but rarely walked, Public School, also debuted its collection after six seasons of absence, bringing a completely different theme to the table for men's fall fashion. Handsome men of all ages and ranges dazzled the white runway with over 30 different looks. Public School is loved for its ability to create a casual, yet heightened sense of style, and it certainly served this expectation with denim tuxedos, beaded belts, black leather boots, and perfectly placed berets. A pleasantly surprising look for Public School was a satin violet track suit, lined with cargo pockets and a purple beret, debuting a wonderful collection for this fall.
Celebrities also came to impress, with popular actresses such as Pamela Anderson dressed in a beautiful, clouded buttoned blouse, collared with a long white skirt and a luxurious blonde bob. Anne Hathaway wore a sleek black lace dress while attending the Ralph Lauren show, where other stars like Gigi Hadid walked the runway. Other notable entertainers appeared, such as Marcello Hernandez, Amanda Seyfried, and Julia Fox. Even popular influencers and reality TV stars like Huda Mustafa from “Love Island” appeared, which shows the scope of designer fashion in the media industry.
New York Fashion Week is the perfect opportunity to improve other artists and designers for the upcoming season and predict the future trends for the next few months in fashion. Often, the looks sported on the runway are eventually worn again by different celebrities and for various occasions, which is what keeps designer brands relevant and showcases their ability to create quality, one-of-a-kind clothing.
